Privacy notice

What I collect, why, and your rights. In plain English.

1Who I am

I'm Denis Nicula. I trade as Nicula Works, as a sole trader, and I'm responsible for the personal data this website collects.

Business address to follow

You can reach me at hi@denisnicula.com or on 07701 319241.

2What I collect

Only what you choose to give me:

  • what you type into the free preview and contact forms: your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number, your current website, your type of business and your message
  • the emails, texts and calls you send me

3Why I use it

To reply to you, to make the preview you asked for, and to do the work we agree.

The law asks me to say which lawful basis each of these rests on:

  • Steps you asked for before a contract: replying to you and making your preview.
  • The contract: doing the work we've agreed.
  • Legitimate interests: answering enquiries about my business and keeping sensible records.

4Who sees it

Two services I use to run the business, and no one else:

  • my website host's form service, which passes the forms on this site to my email
  • Google Workspace, which runs my email

I never sell your data.

5How long I keep it

12 months

If we don't go ahead, I delete your enquiry after 12 months.

6 years

If you become a client, I keep your records for 6 years, because the tax rules ask me to.

6Cookies

This website doesn't use tracking cookies. It remembers whether you picked the light or dark look, in your own browser, for that visit only.

7Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • show you the data I hold about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop using it, if you object to how I use it

Email hi@denisnicula.com and I'll sort it out.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
